The International Day of Peace was first celebrated in 1981, when the UN General Assembly passed a resolution to set aside one day each year to foster the ideals and prioritize the goals of “absolute world peace.”

This resolution was sponsored by the UK and Costa Rica, and the nations and communities who continue to embody its goals inspire our team at WeAre8 every day. On 2022’s International Day of Peace, we’ll be reflecting on our own progress and our values of respect, wellbeing, and peace.
